Ludwig is a main character in the series Axis Powers Hetalia. He is the representation of Germany (ドイツ Doitsu), and leads the Axis Powers.

Appearance Edit

He is a tall, muscular man with blond hair and blue eyes. He wears a green Waffen SS officers uniform with a Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on the collar.

Personality Edit

A serious, hard working, efficient, and bureaucratic man who always abides by the rules, Ludwig has to deal with an unreasonable boss along with the troublemaking Feliciano. He won't stand to make any mistakes, is a neat freak, and happens to have a rather pessimistic nature. His hobbies include making sweets, reading, making cuckoo clocks, and walking his dogs. Another aspect of his character is his relative inexperience with relationships, leading him to be very by-the-book as a result of the belief that things will go wrong if he doesn't follow instructions to the letter.

Arrival in Traverse Town Edit

Like all the others, Ludwig was pulled away from his world unexpectedly while he was taking inventory of his pantry. Noticing the mess the street was on was in he began to clean until the scientist Agatha told him it was her mess where she was scavanging through the garbage looking for spare parts. He immeadiatly started an argument with her, which America ended up getting involved in. Agatha revealed to him the details of Traverse Town and Ludwig believed that it all may just be a secret military project. During his discussion with Agatha and America, Italy showed up and has been with him since.

Currently, Germany spends his time making up rules and then see who is breaking them as he's completely appalled that there is no form of government nor a military. While on patrol recently, he ran into France. Along with Italy, Ludwig led them all to the Third District to show the Frenchman the Heartless.
